Interior Design Photography

When I was young, I wanted to be an interior designer. I told everyone I was going to Parsons School of Design in New York City! That didn’t turn out to be my path, but I still enjoy going on decorator house tours (a favorite outing with my mom!), and now I’m thrilled that I get to work with interior designers to photograph the spaces they have designed.  I get to spend time talking about, thinking about and celebrating design… and I get to use my talents to showcase their work in a way that highlights the special details, textures, colors and balance of the rooms they design. I love it!

Here’s another room by the talented Jennifer at JNR Designs – it’s a formal living room that is bright, comfortable and filled with unique objects and textures.

I had a wonderful experience photographing the interior design work of Christina Byers Design.  She updated this beautiful country Tudor, adding a dining nook, redesigning the fireplace and using gorgeous new furniture to create a better layout and a “great room” feel that is perfect for every day living as well as entertaining.

Lovely Living Room

It was such a pleasure working with interior designer Jennifer Markowitz of JNR Designs  – I was so excited to photograph the space she designed. I shot the room using the abundant natural light, and you can really appreciate all of the colors and textures through these images.

Jennifer’s work is simultaneously chic and relaxed, beautiful to look at and easy to live in. Can’t you imagine curling up to read a book, drink a cup of coffee or visit with family in this sun-drenched and cheerful room?
