That Glow

This session achieved what I’d hoped – to capture the warmth and excitement of an expectant mother. And yet it was so much more than that: the mother is a dear friend, I adore photographing her children, and she’s expecting not one but TWO darling additions to her family.

The older siblings guess if mom is carrying a boy or a girl. Surprise! It’s both.

It will come as no surprise that I CANNOT WAIT to photograph these twins when they arrive! Stay tuned, it won’t be long now.

Beachy Maternity

Every September, my parents rent a beach house on the Jersey Shore with our their very dear friends, who also have two girls. They are thrilled that their oldest daughter Kate and her husband Paul are expecting their first child, whom they affectionately refer to as “peach” pending the announcement of her real name after her birth.

I was thrilled to have the chance to take maternity pictures of them. They are such an adorable and fun couple and I know Miss Peach will be dearly loved. I can’t wait to see her at the beach again next fall – or hopefully sooner!

First let me say that Kate and Paul did an amazing job of choosing their wardrobe for the beach photos. I LOVE the colors and textures here and they absolutely make the photos. It makes such a difference when you carefully select clothing for a photo shoot!

Second, I adore taking silhouette photos against the sunset. Nothing highlights the belly better than dramatic colors in the sky. Even if you can’t see their faces, can’t you just feel their love?
